Gift Ideas
We all like to give great gifts, maybe something unusual or unique, but you can really struggle when trying to come up with ideas. It’s easy if they've asked for or hinted at a particular gift, but maybe you should still go for a surprise gift? Something different and unexpected might bring a huge smile to their face.
Often, when being asked what you'd like as a gift, we come up with something cheap and easy to find. Does “oh, just get me a pair of socks” sound familiar? This doesn’t mean they’d really love another pair of socks. It’s that old British attitude of not wanting to cause trouble.
Why a healthy gift?
Buying a healthy gift is good for them - so it’s good for you. A healthy gift promotes or enables a healthy lifestyle, the benefits are obvious. It could be a product or service, but the benefit is the same - a healthy lifestyle.
So, whoever you’re buying for and whether they’re health conscious or not, as long as you choose the right gift (and that’s where we can help), it’ll be well received and might even lead to them taking a real interest in living a healthy life.
Who are you buying for?
The person you’re buying your gift for has a big influence on what kind of gift you should buy. Some decisions are more obvious than others - you wouldn’t buy the same gift for a two year old girl as you would a ten year old boy.
You should always try to buy something which, knowing who you’re buying for, you think they’d enjoy. Particularly when buying a healthy or environmentally friendly gift, you don’t want to force a gift on somebody just because of its eco credentials if they’ll get no use out of it - that kind of defeats the object.
Our gift ideas will give you a starting point in your search for a present. Remember, no two mothers are the same, just as no two teenagers will like the same gift. And there’s nothing to say that something we’re suggesting for a boyfriend wouldn’t be a great gift for a father.
