Recycled Circuit Board Wall Clock

With electronic equipment cheaper and more widely available than ever, much of the equipment is designed to be thrown away rather than repaired. Every peace of electronic equipment needs a circuit board; the base from which they’re built. With the number of uses for these circuit boards on the increase, so the number of redundant, out of date or old circuit boards increases – and many of them find their way into landfill sites.

This clock has been rescued from a UK landfill site as it’s made in the UK from a recycled circuit board. With a flat finish and having never had components attached with any type of solder or glue, the heavy metals usually associated with electronics isn’t present. Around 95% are green in colour, but occasionally we get gold, red and (most rarely), blue. Some are single sided with a brown back and green front and others are green both sides.
