A chocolate Easter egg means a little extra exercise

Posted on 25/08/2008

No matter how healthy you might be, you’ll just have to face the fact that somebody you love loves chocolate. And that means that when Easter comes around they’re going to want Easter eggs – chocolate ones. Now, you could buy them something else, but unless that something else a spectacular gift, you know they’ll be wishing you’d bought them the chocolate Easter egg.

Long term health benefits outweigh the chocolate sugar rush

So, instead of buying them two Easter eggs, why not buy one Easter egg and a some sports equipment or fitness equipment; like a football or rugby ball. The health benefits from using the sports or fitness equipment will far outweigh the short term sugar rush of the chocolate.

And what better way for them to make an association between doing something healthy to make up for the chocolate treat they just received? It’s an especially important connection for children to make, but I’m sure you know more than a few adults who could benefit from making the connection too.
