Buying a Valentines Day gift is all about showing somebody you love them; you’re thinking about them and trying to make them feel special. And what better way is there than to buy an unusual gift?

How do you know the gift you’re thinking of buying is an unusual gift? In short, there’s no correct answer to that one. A bunch of flowers is an unusual gift to someone who’s never received flowers before, but to somebody else they’re a, “you don’t even care enough to get me something unusual” gift.

Just make a little extra effort

You really can’t ask any more of your partner than for them to put time and effort into choosing your gift. The more time you take looking for a gift, the more chance you have of stumbling on that perfect, unusual gift.

When you’re choosing, try to put yourself in their shoes. Will they be surprised, shocked or amazed at your choice of gift? If so, surely it classes as an unusual gift and you’ll make their Valentines Day. Easy really!
