Valentines Day is the perfect opportunity to put some love back into your love life, by making a real effort. It’s not just about buying a Valentines Day card and a nice gift; it’s about looking at your relationship with fresh eyes.

It’s never too late to get the magic back
It’s easy to fall into the relationship comfort zone, taking your partner for granted and not making the same effort as you did at the beginning of the relationship. This can happen months, or most commonly years into a relationship, but it’s never too late to get the initial magic back.
It’s no coincidence that we remember the good times as those at the start of our relationships. Everything was new, we were finding out so much about each other and it just felt exciting.
Now ask yourself this; do you really think that you know everything there is to know about your partner? Of course you don’t. There are plenty of things left to discover, but you’ve just stopped looking.

An experience day can start a new, shared interest
Try to find a new common interest which you could both explore together. It might be something you’ve never tried before, which you’d both quite like to try out. It might be walking and hiking, learning to cook or an activity like sailing. Whatever the activity, you’ll be spending more quality time together, you’ll enjoy your new found interest together and it’ll give you something new in your relationship.
So make your Valentines Day gift work a little harder for you this year and introduce something new to your relationship.
