Will you buy green gifts this Christmas?

When you’re choosing which Christmas gifts to buy this year, will you be thinking green? If not, then maybe you should give it some thought. Global warming is top of the agenda and rightly so. Every little helps and in the season of giving, giving a little back to the planet makes perfect sense.

Green gifts are available for everyone this Christmas

With green issues in the news, there’s no excuse to ignore the warnings and when buying a Christmas gift we should all be thinking green this year. There are some great gifts available; it’s not like you’ve got to buy a bag of compost! There are Christmas gifts with solid green credentials available for everybody. Even teenagers, with their thirst for gadgets are catered for with solar chargers.

Of course, it’s unrealistic to think that everything you do this Christmas will be geared towards being greener, but if you’re buying Christmas gifts for 10 people and only five of them are green gifts, you’ll at least be making a difference. The more the merrier, but if everybody makes a little effort it starts to add up.

It’s not just buying gifts that should be on your mind. When somebody asks you what you’d like for Christmas, make sure the gift you ask for has green credentials too.
