We all love Christmas, but do we all love Christmas shopping? ~You don’t have to think too hard to imagine an epic December shopping expedition on a freezing Saturday afternoon, fighting your way through thousands of other shoppers to find the best Christmas presents for your nearest and dearest. It’s enough to make you try and palm off the Christmas shopping on someone else this year!
It might seem obvious to many, but some people still don’t take advantage of the Internet when it comes to doing their Christmas shopping. It’s so much easier to sit down with a hot cup of coffee, search around a few websites and buy all your Christmas presents online.

Christmas shopping on the Internet is safe
There are still some people who’re concerned about shopping on the Internet. Whilst this is a healthy attitude to take, with a little care and by paying attention to what you’re doing, shopping on the Internet is very safe.

A secure payment page
Wherever you choose to buy, make sure that when entering your payment details you’re using a secure web page. You should see a padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser and the URL (web page address) should start with https:// and not http:// (the “s” stands for “secure”).
Most of the horror stories you’ve heard about having your credit card details stolen online are down to people entering their details in a non-secure place (such as in an email or on a non-secure web page). Take care when shopping and your credit card details will be perfectly safe.
